Just kidding of course... everyone that I met seemed to be very nice. :-) I'm posting what I think is the best one up here. Now you guys can all see my hair, too. See, the purple is fading out to red like I wanted! And you thought that I was crazy. :-P~ You can also see the big hurting zit that made an unwelcome appearance on my forehead today! Been a while since I had one of those, but it just had to be this fantastic timing. Since I am so wonderful, they'll probably replay the clip tomorrow morning on their `best of' reel type thing. They basically play the best segments of the week on a two hour show Saturday mornings. I talked to my friend Amy earlier today and she's going to be up at South River to see LC, so I guess that I'll go. Hopefully I can get Kurtis to come with me... if not, I guess I'll be flying solo. Hmm... or maybe I can get a neighbor to join me? Going by myself doesn't bother me too much since I always know somebody there. And since South River is someplace I've been before, I feel pretty comfortable going there without fear of toothless hicks. Chances are, toothless hicks aren't going to be reading this, because most toothless hicks don't own computers. But maybe that's a generalization, I don't know. If you ARE a toothless hick, I apologize for my boorish statement. (but please see a dentist)

I did go up to the HFS studios this morning for the junkette contest. Got up at the awful hour of 6 a.m. Ugh. Had a bit of trouble actually getting IN to the studio, the doors were locked, but fortunately an employee going in to work took me to where I was supposed to be.

Did I mention that I stopped in Crofton to bring in donuts? :) I had to give myself that extra boost, you know. Not too long after I got there, Bret was pummeling the donuts. When I arrived, there was one other girl waiting to go on air -- this was Lauren from Bowie... I introduced myself and said my name and she said,"I'm Lauren". Weird. She was 24, too.

Of course I had to get a HUGE friggin' zit in the middle of my forehead, it literally popped up in less than a day... I noticed it last night and by this morning it was enormous. C'est la vie.

I managed to put together a sexy outfit, I guess... I wore a low-cut pink shirt that emphasized my ahem...... assets?? (THANK GOD FOR WATER BRAS!!!) and I wore a tan/khaki colored skirt. They actually asked if my boobs were real! I guess that should be a compliment, right? I was surprised by how at ease I was on air... I didn't even think too much that I was on the radio with thousands of people listening, it was pretty cool!

LC are playing at South River tonight in Edgewater and I'm thinking about going... but I'm sooooo tired. :( I'll post more later, I have to do phones and go to lunch now. Ciao!

Went to my english class last night -- I really like my teacher. She's kind of spastic and laughs a lot... she just seems very real, (not to mention approachable) if that makes sense.

So here's the thing........ if I audition for this gig and actually get it, I would have to rearrange my schedule, and like I said, I really DO like my teacher. So I'm emailing her today explaining my situation in the event that I have to drop her class... unfortunately, she isn't teaching any other night classes. :( Maybe I'll be able to take one of her classes another semester if it comes down to that.

Hey Everybody

I just wanted to give you all a little update on post-production. We're still waiting for this computer to come in. I called Apple and they said that it should ship any day now, with the very latest possible date being September 15th. This is due to both the newness of the graphics card as well as the dual processor. Once we get it though, it should only be a few days until the movie is edited. In addition to that, audio should probably be about another week or two.

**Speaking of audio, we'll probably re-record the necessary lines once the computer is in, so probably no earlier than September 15th (that's for Ken and Farhad).**

We've also been looking in to having a premiere/party type thing for when it's done. We're looking in to Regal Cinemas in Countryside among a few other places right now for renting out a theater. If anyone knows a place, definitely let us know.

That's about it. Once we know more, I'll be sure to let you know. Hope the end of everyone's summer is going well and we'll be in touch soon.

My third try at college will be starting in three hours and twenty-five minutes. I'm a bit apprehensive, but I know things will be fine. I feel like the new kid at school who is afraid people will make fun of them... I know that I'm not old by any means, but I am 24 -- compared to the 17 and 18 year olds, I feel old. Most of my friends are finished their BS/BA's, and Stef is working on her friggin' Master's degree! Fortunately I'm taking the night classes, so more than likely the other students will be a bit older. At least, I hope so.

I hope that we don't have an assignment on the first day... that would kind of suck. I keep thinking back to k-12th grade and the assignments we would get the first week back to school -- "How I spent my summer vacation". haha....

Well, I enjoy writing, so maybe I'll do well in my english class. I think that I have a bit more self-control now than I did four years ago. At least I hope so. Who knows, maybe I'll even like being back in school?! LOL.

I have a headache today... had a headache yesterday, too. I wonder why? *sigh*

BTW, the Junkies are looking for a "Junkette" for their new TV show which will air once a week on Channel 9... if I audition, I'll have to go down to the station Friday morning. They say they're looking for a Jenny McCarthy-Pam Anderson-tool time type girl. I'm certainly no Jenny or Pam, but I can be fairly articulate when I want to be! I'll let you know tomorrow if I decide to do it.

Got through everything pretty well! I got the test done in 15 minutes... since I scored lower than 70% on the 12 question elementary algebra, I didn't have to proceed to the 20 question college algebra! They just printed out my results and said that I need to take Algebra 1 & 2, which 90% of the people who take the test have to do anyway! So I went over to registration, changed from non-degree seeking to general ed, got my book voucher at Financial aid, went to the bookstore and got all my books! All in about an hour.

I was surprised at how smoothly everything went, especially considering that classes start tomorrow... I figured that everybody and their brother would be there... there were a lot of people, but I think that they were prepared and just had extra people working. Maybe my pessimistic view also had something to do with the frustrations I initially had in registering for classes. I certainly know the system pretty well now... I'm still getting used to the location of buildings around campus, but at least it's not a huge place. Big compared to Chesapeake, but small compared to a 4 year college. The class I'm most concerned about is my Monday 7-9:45 psychology class. I have English 112 Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:45... so my Mondays are going to SUCK. Between work and school, my Mondays are going to be 14 hour days. Yuck. I hope that I don't get burned out.

My psychology text cost $80?! And it's not even as big as my english text! Ugh... college textbooks are such a racket. Fortunately I was able to get mostly used books. Total of books for two classes? $180. It doesn't seem like I spent that much at Chesapeake, even though I was taking a full load. Maybe I'm just not remembering because I wasn't really paying for them, haha.

I'm eating a chicken salad from McDonald's right now... it tastes awful. They are really hit and miss... I've had a few good ones, but this one is just nasty.

Well, I get to add a new topic to my list today -- SCHOOL!

I was thinking that classes didn't start until next week. Guess what? My first class is tomorrow!

So, I'm going to the school at lunch today to take my math placement test. No placement test, no student loan. No student loan, no classes. Yeah, I'm screwed. This may be the wrong attitude to have, but I'm going to fail. Even if I'd studied for it, I think I'd be in the same boat. You just can't learn in one day, one week, or even a month what I couldn't learn in 12 years of school. So I'll be in remedial classes again, most likely. That's fine, though... I have to learn it, I guess. Ugh.

Kurtis was going to help me, but he needs to know the rules to do those certain problems or something. We tried to go over it last night, but he didn't have a math textbook.

I'm just going to color in the ovals and make a pretty pattern. :-/

Just wanted to make a quick post..... busy today...... had a good weekend...... went to Brenda's TS party on Saturday which Tiffer came with me to..... watched football........ yesterday did laundry and was generally lazy..... Kurt bought Alton Brown's book "I'm just here for the food" and we're hoping that we can actually make some stuff from it and start planning menus. We've been saying we're going to do that for the past year or so, maybe more... but have never gotten around to it.

Redskins beat the crap out of the Dolphins.... Jets beat the Colts (?!?!?!?!!!) and the Eagles beat the Ravens. Eagles looked okay but I think the injuries are going to take a toll. I'd still draft T.O. for my fantasy teams, though. I'm in 2 leagues this year... a work league and an American Idol league. Having trouble signing up for the work league. Oh well.

Back to work...... we may be going to Whole Foods in Naptown after work to get some ingredients for our meals this week.

Bear Passes Out After Only 36 Beers

SEATTLE (Reuters) - A black bear was found passed out at a campground in Washington state recently after guzzling down three dozen cans of a local beer, a campground worker said on Wednesday.
"We noticed a bear sleeping on the common lawn and wondered what was going on until we discovered that there were a lot of beer cans lying around," said Lisa Broxson, a worker at the Baker Lake Resort, 80 miles northeast of Seattle.

The hard-drinking bear, estimated to be about two years old, broke into campers' coolers and, using his claws and teeth to open the cans, swilled down the suds.

It turns out the bear was a bit of a beer sophisticate. He tried a mass-market Busch beer, but switched to Rainier Beer, a local ale, and stuck with it for his drinking binge.

Wildlife agents chased the bear away, but it returned the next day, said Broxson.

They set a trap using as bait some doughnuts, honey and two cans of Rainier Beer. It worked, and the bear was captured for relocation.
