DVD
Mood:  lyrical
Topic: TV, music, movies, etc.
Wow. I just finished watching part of the LC dvd. Wow. It is unbelievable... and not just because I'm in it, haha. Jeff did an amazing job with it... I wish that I had the time to watch the entire thing... but I really think that it captured what the band is all about. The only thing that would have made it more real is to have some footage of some nights in OC with everyone watching the sun rise and Dave playing his guitar... or maybe a recap of Big Joe's birthday a few years ago (jeez, I think it's been FIVE YEARS now!!)

BTW, I didn't mention this before, but Brian's mom had surgery on Monday to repair two aneurysms in her brain... the surgery was a success and she's doing very well. Today they took off the bandages so you can actually see the incision & where they shaved her head... I told her that maybe she can start a new style! But anyway... it's late and I should be getting to bed. Actually I should be working on my research paper. I really need to start on that, ugh.

Hope everyone is well..........

Conservative
Where do you fall on the liberal - conservative political spectrum? (United States)

brought to you by Quizilla

I guess that I have become somewhat of a conservative, but my views on some of the more important issues fall on the liberal side. Weird.

Topic: Weekend happenings
But I wanted to let everyone know that I made it home from Vegas......... at 4 am today. Ugh. Missed my flight and its a miracle that I made it home at all. Could have sworn that the woman at the check in counter said gate "C12"... so Brian and I go and grab breakfast, I'm sitting at the gate waiting, and waiting. I look at my watch and I'm thinking "Why haven't they called us to board? It's getting late!" SO I doublecheck my gate. Yeah, I was supposed to be at gate C2... so I run through the terminal to my gate just minutes after my seat was given away. Plane hadn't even left. Ugh. THAT'S never going to happen again. Got a flight to Phoenix, then ended up spending 6.5 hours there waiting because I couldn't get on standby for the 4:50 flight, and then the 7:10 flight they bumped me to was two hours late because of a medical emergency that happened some hours before. Ugh.

Vegas itself was fun, although not quite as crazy as I thought it might be... my weekend was pretty G rated, although I did gamble a little bit, ended up $50 up. I'd like to go back, but I'd like to have more time... that's a long trip for just 2 days, and the only day we did much was on Saturday, so we jammed everything into one day. My legs are still sore from all the walking!

Here are some of my favorite pics from the trip... I'll post more when I get some sleep.

Which one is Brian? Teehee. Playing at FAO Schwartz. :)

Aren't we cute? Waiting for the pirate show at Treasure Island.

Ahh, oh well... I was trying to put up some pictures of our hotel too, but tripod is being retarded.

This will have to keep you occupied for now... my vacation was filled with all sorts of craziness.

Aww, aren't I purty?

All of the girls at Tu tu tango, an excellent tapas restaurant where we became regulars!

I love this picture of me & Rebecca... except that she looks like she's about to start drooling on my arm, haha!

That's it for now... I'm off to Vegas in less than two days... will post some when I get back, or maybe sooner if I have internet access there!

Hope everyone is well.

one of these days...
Mood:  accident prone
Topic: Miscellaneous goings-on
I'm going to get to bed on time. It was my goal after staying up too late the past ?????????????? nights (probably for the past month) and never getting enough sleep. I wanted to go over to Brian's tonight to watch 24, but after I got done at the dentist today I got hit with some kind of wicked stomach thing. UGH! So I pretty much ran home, stripped off my suit and curled myself into a ball. My diagnosis is part PMS, part something I ate. Probably. Feeling a bit better now, but I'm not taking any chances. So I'd resigned myself to the fact that for once I needed to stay home and take care of myself even though I really wanted to see my honey. Around 9 I decided to get up and check my email, and you can see where I still am. *roll eyes*

At least I was good and stayed home instead of going to Brian's. Thursday and Friday I have trainings in Wilmington, so I'm going to HAVE to get to bed early on those nights. Hopefully. I also have a test on Thursday night that I need to study for.

So much to do. *sigh*

Orlando is less than two weeks away and I really need to get a new set of luggage... mine is too small and the zipper is a bit finicky. Considering that I'll be doing a good bit of traveling from here on out, I figure that a good set of luggage is a necessity. Then of course Las Vegas is the weekend after that... I'm still planning on going to Europe in the spring sometime to meet up with my Aunt Nancy. I'm not quite ready to make the trip all the way to Australia. At least not by myself!!! I'm hoping that Brian gets off reserve quickly with whatever airline he ends up flying for... if the planes he's flying keep having equipment failures like they've been having (there have been several more since my last entry), he may be looking at a regional sooner rather than later. I'd much rather have him in one piece than have him home for the holidays.

Well I guess that's it for now... I need to get to bed!!

Hope everyone is having a good week... tomorrow is hump day!

Made a stop at Lenscrafters on my way home to finally get my eyes checked.... turns out my eyesight is still pretty damn good, but i have a stigmatism in my eye that makes it harder to focus... so I now have glasses!!! It's amazing how much better I can see with them. I'm not going to wear them all the time, just when I'm on the computer or driving, but damn is it nice to see!

I have much more to say, but no time to say it..... so maybe tomorrow when I have more time. :)

I'm up too late and spending too much time on astrology.com.

Thought that this was interesting........ most of it is pretty on-target, too. Weird!

When Aries and Taurus come together in a love affair, the partnership is a
natural union of Love, represented by Taurus, and Passion, represented by
Aries. This relationship is all about balance. Aries wants to jump right in
and get into it, while Taurus prefers to go much more slowly. This can
create a problem; Taurus loves to be wooed and romanced -- two concepts that
are basically foreign to straightforward, brash, totally unsubtle Aries. An
Aries-Taurus partnership can be a great learning experience for both Signs.
Taurus can help Aries rein in some of the more foolish, impractical
impulses, and Aries can help Taurus be more spontaneous and adventurous.

Taurus is sensual, patient and gentle. Aries is attracted to these
qualities; Aries sees Taurus as their rock, totally stable and loyal
forever. Taurus sees Aries as possessing that quality they want more of --
knowing when and how to grab on to life's opportunities. These Signs are a
good balance for each other. Aries might sometimes play games with Taurus,
playing off that Bullish laziness, or try to push Taurus into making hasty
decisions, but the Bull can usually convince the Ram to slow down a bit.
Aries brings excitement to the relationship, while Taurus brings security
and romance.

Aries is ruled by the Planet Mars (passion), and Taurus is ruled by the
Planet Venus (love). Venus and Mars go well together; they represent the two
necessary halves of the same relationship coin. The symbols are universally
recognized as masculine and feminine, so this relationship is a good balance
of these energies.

Aries is a Fire Sign and Taurus is an Earth Sign. Aries wants to take charge
of their own destiny, while Taurus needs to be assured of security and
stability. Sometimes Taurus can be possessive, which independent Aries won't
tolerate. If Aries can assure Taurus that the relationship is strong and
that Aries isn't going anywhere, Taurus can be as flexible and tolerant of
independence as Aries needs them to be.

Aries is a Cardinal Sign, and Taurus is a Fixed Sign. In this relationship,
Aries is not going to get their own way no matter how hard they try -- so
it's a much better idea not to try at all. Taurus is a Fixed Sign that won't
budge; Aries will get much further with finesse and charm (Taurus is a real
sucker for both) than with argument, since Taurus never loses a debate. Both
Signs want to be the leader in the relationship, so compromise is essential.

What's the best aspect of the Aries-Taurus relationship? The passionate
nature of the partnership. This is an excellent balance of energy between
masculine and feminine, impulsive and deliberate. Their contrasting
personalities and ability to learn from one another make theirs a mutually
giving and satisfying relationship.
