But I wanted to let everyone know that I made it home from Vegas......... at 4 am today. Ugh. Missed my flight and its a miracle that I made it home at all. Could have sworn that the woman at the check in counter said gate "C12"... so Brian and I go and grab breakfast, I'm sitting at the gate waiting, and waiting. I look at my watch and I'm thinking "Why haven't they called us to board? It's getting late!" SO I doublecheck my gate. Yeah, I was supposed to be at gate C2... so I run through the terminal to my gate just minutes after my seat was given away. Plane hadn't even left. Ugh. THAT'S never going to happen again. Got a flight to Phoenix, then ended up spending 6.5 hours there waiting because I couldn't get on standby for the 4:50 flight, and then the 7:10 flight they bumped me to was two hours late because of a medical emergency that happened some hours before. Ugh.

Vegas itself was fun, although not quite as crazy as I thought it might be... my weekend was pretty G rated, although I did gamble a little bit, ended up $50 up. I'd like to go back, but I'd like to have more time... that's a long trip for just 2 days, and the only day we did much was on Saturday, so we jammed everything into one day. My legs are still sore from all the walking!

I'm going to get to bed on time. It was my goal after staying up too late the past ?????????????? nights (probably for the past month) and never getting enough sleep. I wanted to go over to Brian's tonight to watch 24, but after I got done at the dentist today I got hit with some kind of wicked stomach thing. UGH! So I pretty much ran home, stripped off my suit and curled myself into a ball. My diagnosis is part PMS, part something I ate. Probably. Feeling a bit better now, but I'm not taking any chances. So I'd resigned myself to the fact that for once I needed to stay home and take care of myself even though I really wanted to see my honey. Around 9 I decided to get up and check my email, and you can see where I still am. *roll eyes*

At least I was good and stayed home instead of going to Brian's. Thursday and Friday I have trainings in Wilmington, so I'm going to HAVE to get to bed early on those nights. Hopefully. I also have a test on Thursday night that I need to study for.

So much to do. *sigh*

Orlando is less than two weeks away and I really need to get a new set of luggage... mine is too small and the zipper is a bit finicky. Considering that I'll be doing a good bit of traveling from here on out, I figure that a good set of luggage is a necessity. Then of course Las Vegas is the weekend after that... I'm still planning on going to Europe in the spring sometime to meet up with my Aunt Nancy. I'm not quite ready to make the trip all the way to Australia. At least not by myself!!! I'm hoping that Brian gets off reserve quickly with whatever airline he ends up flying for... if the planes he's flying keep having equipment failures like they've been having (there have been several more since my last entry), he may be looking at a regional sooner rather than later. I'd much rather have him in one piece than have him home for the holidays.

Well I guess that's it for now... I need to get to bed!!

Made a stop at Lenscrafters on my way home to finally get my eyes checked.... turns out my eyesight is still pretty damn good, but i have a stigmatism in my eye that makes it harder to focus... so I now have glasses!!! It's amazing how much better I can see with them. I'm not going to wear them all the time, just when I'm on the computer or driving, but damn is it nice to see!

I have much more to say, but no time to say it..... so maybe tomorrow when I have more time. :)

I don't know if love is in the air or I just miss Brian because I don't see him as much these days, but every time I see him I am just so happy that he's in my life. Instead of our usual Wednesday night at Perry's, he came over and watched a movie and it was just so nice to see him. Every time I hear certain songs, I just think about him and think about our future together. I am so blessed to have him in my life... he makes me smile every day. There are definitely times that I don't agree with everything he does or times that I wish we could spend more time alone together, but when I get those moments alone with him it's like everything else just goes away and we're in our own little world. I like that. They say that that first stage of love can be like that, but it wears off between 3 months (sometimes earlier) and one year. Well, it doesn't seem like it's fading for me... it seems that each day just gets better. It's a feeling that I've truly never had before.

Most relationships that I've been in have been intense at first and seem to drop off after 5 or 6 months. This one is just different. I don't know if it's because this has been such a traumatic year and I feel like those experiences have brought us closer together or what... or maybe I just never knew what love was supposed to be. I haven't lost myself in this relationship and I've kept my friendships going... I've taken an interest in some of his hobbies and activities, his job... but I haven't let it completely consume me. I've become friends with the people in his group, but I also made sure that I leave time for my own. Of course weekends are a little tricky now, since that is really my only chance to see him, I've had to try to make plans with my friends around his schedule, but I think that's understandable. I'm going to Orlando in two weeks with my girlfriends... I highly doubt that I could have done that before without feeling guilty. Of course, I'll miss him the whole time I'm gone, but I won't be obsessing about it.

I love my psych teacher... this is the third class of hers I've taken. But it SUCKS. The people in my class don't really seem to care about learning... all they want to talk about is their baby's daddys and everything that goes along with that. They have no interest in the subject unless they have a question to ask the professor about their particular situation or one of their ten kids. I guess that's the only way they can relate to the subject matter, I don't know. It's so frustrating because I feel like I can't participate because when I have a legitimate question or want to answer a question posed by the professor with an intelligent answer, I get talked over. So I just shut up and don't learn as much. It's really, really frustrating. My teacher doesn't like the class, either...

Because of these students in the class, she was talking about having tests EVERY WEEK on the chapter, because they're not smart enough to study and learn the information!! Come on, people - I'm not wasting my money to listen to your stories about your children who have problems because of your bad parenting!! Now I applaud working mothers who are going to school to try to better themselves, but really. There are quite a few people in their situation in that class who can hold intelligent conversations and who do their work that don't hold everyone else back. It's driving me crazy!

Sorry, just needed to vent.

This 3 day weekend went by entirely too quickly! I can't believe that it's already over... but at least I have a short week!

Friday night I went out to dinner with "Diesel", my ex-roomie... we got crabs at Kauffman's... I had a craving for crabs all day on Friday and when I told Brian, he told me I should call Diesel and ask if he wanted to go... so we went, then went out to Bamboo Bernie's, formerly Caesar's... this kind of redneck place in "The Dena". It's actually the new Steelers fan club, so Brian and I had been there the previous week to watch the Steelers vs Pats game. Anyway, it's a pretty cool place now. And just in case you're wondering, I haven't sold out on my beloved Skins, I'm still a Redskins fan, but I will support my honey's team, too. Especially since they're good - and they're not the Ravens, haha. ;) Of course, I've been to more Ravens games than anything else... I'm going to look into getting tickets for the Skins vs. Dallas game in December... excited about that one! I'm debating over whether or not I should really shell out the money for *great* seats, but I'm considering it... I've never felt that I've had the "full" experience of a game, because my seats have never been that great. Last year (actually earlier this year) I had obstructed view seats that were really bad, and the time that I saw the Skins before that, they were in the corner section of the endzone, in a position that wasn't great to see the action. We'll see, I guess.

Anyway... I digress.

Saturday Brian and I went to Baltimore & road the duck boats... it was too yucky to go flying... :( Duck boats were fun, though... went out to dinner at an italian place and then went to some awful party. Yeah, it was really bad. Yesterday we watched the Skins game at Bamboo Bernie's... it was tough to lose, but they played a lot better than I thought they would, and even though they lost maybe people will give them more respect since it wasn't a blowout. Would've gone into overtime if it weren't for a missed 2 point conversion. :( Wah!

Today was lunch at El Salto's with a few friends, then went to a friend of Brian's (Jen) to see her & her 2 week old little boy, who was very adorable. :) Then we ran to Mills, did a little shopping at a few places, then the movies (saw Waiting, it was pretty good)... afterwards we went to Modell's and I bought some Skins and Steelers paraphenelia (did I spell that right??)... then went to dinner at Bonefish with Brian's parents... then went to Best Buy, Dick's sporting goods for a raincoat for Brian, then Target. Yep, busy day, but I got a lot accomplished.

*yawn*

And now I'm watching the game!

Well, I have to get off of here... have to research all of my ticket options. ;) And put my new comfy jersey knit sheets on my bed with my new quilt that I bought at Target... very excited about that purchase!!

I had every intention of going to bed on time tonight... even early. But then I was going to watch House, and I still hadn't taken my bath that I've been thinking about all week... *sigh* Even though today is only tuesday!

I'm exhausted but I'm still up. Partially waiting for Brian to call, partially wanting to catch up on blogging, since I've been so neglectful of it.

Oh well, I'll sleep sometime. Maybe this weekend?

Tomorrow I'm going to go to Denton after work to get the mail... I really need to just have it forwarded to my house, but that's yet another thing that I've been slacking on. I just haven't felt like dealing with the estate lately. I don't mind paying the bills and keeping track of all of that, it's the house that I don't feel like dealing with. Add to that that I don't feel like having anyone help me with it and it's just that much worse.

I think I'm going to hop in bed and call Brian. The next few days I won't be able to get any extra sleep either... Perry's tomorrow night (my only night during the week that I get to see my honey), then class on Thursday night. Not to mention that I'm going to have to bring my A game to work on Thursday because we have a prospective client coming in that I'm trying to get business from. SO I have to work on being my usual gregarious self on no sleep. Ahh, joy. I'll just make sure that I get to Perry's early and get my karaoke selection in!
